Next Thursday December 29 is Agile Beer Night! Please join us at Daman's Pub in Redmond for some great conversations about Agile software development, and a pint of some great beer! We'll have folks on hand who can answer questions and give free advice about Agile development practices based on real-world, in-the-trenches hands-on experience. Come on down to the pub and join in the conversation! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just have questions about how to do Agile or do it better, help us celebrate our wins and accomplishments on this last ABN of 2011. 5:30-6PM is happy hour, so do arrive early to catch the special deals! October Agile Beer Night is Thursday!

Do you use User Stories in your agile practice? How good are you at writing user stories? Do you have your product owner write the stories? Or does the team write them? How are your acceptance criteria? This month we'll be looking at how well we write user stories, and some of the techniques (and failings) we have in generating our stories. Please join us at Daman's this Thursday the 27th (the day after tomorrow) from 5:30 - 7:30 to enjoy a beer and discuss User Stories!

ABN - New night Last Thursday of the month

There are some other competing events on the last Wednesday of the month, so to avoid this competition and allow everyone to attend all the events, we're moving ABN to the last Thursday instead of Wednesday. This month we'll meet at Daman's at 5:30 on Thursday September 29 for good beer and perhaps even a guest speaker from SalesForce.com to talk about how they have implemented Agile development practice and how it's helped their business. Please feel free to bring your questions, answers, and conversations and join us at Daman's on Thursday the 29th!

We'll discuss topics like Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, and lots of other great topics on Lean and Agile. The next installment of Agile Beer Night is next Wednesday, March 30 at Daman's Bar and Grill at 5:30PM. This month's theme is around unit tests, TDD, and Agile software testing in general. Whether you're a QA person, a Dev person, or a manager or something else - software testing should be important to you. Come share your perspective over a pint of your favorite draught. If you have some tips or tricks you can share, or if you'd just like to listen - please join us.

February Agile Beer Night is Wednesday Feb 23 2011, 5:30PM - 7:30PM at Daman's Bar and Grille in Redmond.

The topic of this month's meeting is Collaborating With Remote Teams - how to have success with remote, nearshore, or offshore team members. Please bring your experience, questions, success stories, and challenges. Please share with us as we collaborate on how to execute and improve on this process. In a global virtual economy, we will all need to overcome these challenges to be successful at delivering software for our customers.

Please plan on next Wednesday and join us for some good conversations about Agile Software Development and some good beer too!

The next Agile Beer Night is December 16 at Daman's Bar and Grille in Redmond, from 5:30-7:30PM. This is a monthly event to get the Agile community together in a social setting, for casual conversation, networking and information sharing about Agile in practice. People share best practices, new discoveries, tips, tools, and tricks, and most importantly - ask questions! This is not a sponsored event (but I do always buy the first pitcher) and it's open to all. Please come and invite your friends who are involved in, interested in, or want to become part of the Agile community in Seattle/EastSide.
